Volunteer Climatology Program

The Climatology Program (also known as the Minnesota State Climatology Office) exists to gather, archive, manage, and disseminate historical climate data in order to address questions involving the impact of climate on Minnesota and its citizens.

West Polk SWCD has a voluntary rainfall monitoring program throughout the western portion of Polk County. You can see what forms have been turned in by our observers here.

Please contact the office at 218-281-6070 x4, if you need assistance with rainfall data or are interested in becoming a volunteer Climatologist.

Data, quick links, latest developments and data from all of our volunteers can be viewed on the State Climatology Office Website.
